A wonderful compilation of poems. This book includes four unique, individual and artistic poem collections. This book was published in 2021 and is Aun’s first and oldest poetry book. Known for its experimental style, this was when Aun was testing the waters of the genre of poetry and the age of 18 where I was balancing adulthood with the turbulent ups-and-downs of being a teenager. This poetry book includes monochrome illustrations by Aun’s mother and illustrator Aisha Haider. Poems included in brio include Aun’s first poem ever titled ‘Thunder Lightning and Rain’ and his award-winning poem ‘Melanin’ that was written for a Race Equality Competition.
